Keratosis Pilaris Rubra Faceii (KPRF) is a genetic condition that causes chronic redness on the cheeks. It's often misdiagnosed as rosacea, eczema, or "reactive skin" — which means most people spend years treating the wrong thing.
It doesn't respond to typical creams. It worsens with heat, stress, exercise, alcohol, and strong emotions. And no dermatologist ever explained why.
Until now.
I grew up as the kid with red cheeks. "Tomato." Not always cruel — but constant. By high school it had taken over my life. I skipped classes. I avoided mirrors. I planned every meal around my skin.
I tried dermatologist creams, carnivore diets, propranolol, lasers. Some things helped for a week. Then everything came back.
The problem wasn't that the treatments were bad. The problem was that nobody was treating the right thing.
